Reimbursement by health insurers

The reimbursement of the cost of Medical Strengthening Therapy by private health insurers and benefit providers is regulated by a decision of the fees committee of the Bundesärztekammer [Medical Association in Germany representing doctors]. The decision, which followed an investigation lasting several months was confirmed by the Board of the Bundesärztekammer and published in the German Ärzteblatt, Year 99, No. 3 on 18 January 2002.
Unfortunately, only a few statutory health insurers have indicated their willingness to reimburse costs.
